The best ideas come from those who use our products every day. That’s why we recently brought together 45 participants from 31 companies for our annual Innovation Workshop. This event gives our customers a chance to shape the future of supply chain technology directly. It’s like a big brainstorming session, but with real results.
We’re not just paying lip service to customer feedback. We actually listen and act on it. In fact, 90% of companies who actively use the FourKites app share ideas on our IdeaExchange platform. Even better, 1 in 4 of these suggestions make it onto our product roadmap. This teamwork has already led to more than 250 new features. Things like proactive detention alerts and customizable ETAs — stuff that makes your job easier and your operations smoother.
This group rolled up their sleeves and got into the nitty-gritty of how AI can make supply chains smarter. They came up with ideas for ways that AI could spot and fix common problems automatically. Imagine having a digital helper that frees you up to tackle the big-picture issues.
“Attending FourKites’ Innovation Workshop made me aware of some exciting possibilities. I’m particularly intrigued by the potential for smart geofences to drastically improve the accuracy of our shipment tracking, ensuring critical pick-up and delivery information reaches the right people instantly,” said Eric Drake, Senior Supply Chain Transportation Specialist at Nestle USA. “It’s not just about knowing where things are — it’s about acting on that information quickly. AI-powered innovations and automation could be a real game-changer for our responsiveness and customer service.”
If you’ve ever dealt with ocean shipping, you know the headache of tracking containers across terminals. This team put their heads together to crack that problem. They looked at tricky issues like Last Free Day tracking and customs holds. The goal? To give you a clear view of your shipments from port to port.
Building on last year’s work, this group started by looking at our new yard automation capabilities. Then, they let their imaginations run wild. Think self-driving yard vehicles and smart cameras that can spot issues before they become problems. It’s not science fiction — it’s the future of yard management.
Late deliveries are a pain for everyone. This team focused on using AI to spot potential issues before they cause delays. They mapped out common risks and thought about how FourKites data could help prevent problems. It’s like having a crystal ball for your supply chain.
These sessions weren’t just talk. The ideas that came out of this workshop are going straight into our product planning. We’re rolling up our sleeves to turn these concepts into real features that will make your job easier.
We’re grateful to everyone who joined us and shared their insights. If you’re a FourKites customer and want to be part of these conversations, come join our online Community.
