Recapping Day Two of FourKites’ ‘Visibility 2018’ User Conference:
Day Two focused on interactive best practice sharing and collecting feedback from FourKites’ vast number of shipper customers. The sessions put a spotlight on how the FourKites network can help transform transportation operations and drive measurable business value.
An opening session led by the FourKites User Experience team solicited customer feedback on new and existing product design elements, which will help inform the FourKites roadmap. (Many thanks to our customers for their active engagement during that session.)
The first customer presentation of the day was from The Michaels Companies. Jason Frerich, Director of Domestic Transportation, and Jane Kennedy, Manager of Supply Chain Communications & Carrier Relations, talked about how FourKites has helped them move Michaels toward a more proactive transportation operation – able to identify and resolve potential issues before they arise.
Before implementing FourKites, the company managed exceptions manually via countless calls and emails. Control tower, unified visibility into the statuses of inbound loads did not exist. Michaels is using now FourKites to expand visibility to more than 1,250 stores. Every store gets multiple notifications on planned deliveries, and the transportation team uses FourKites dashboards to help drive better on-time deliveries and optimize store labor costs.
After that excellent presentation, the FourKites Product team led deep-dive showcase and feedback sessions on Predictive Capacity Management, exploring ROI possibilities of the automated, intelligent freight matching capability that FourKites announced earlier this year. The Product team then led a deep-dive session on FourKites Insights and Benchmarking, to explore the power of deep supply chain and transportation analytics.
As those sessions were running, FourKites Customer Success team members were teaching tips and tricks to using the FourKites platform in super user certification training sessions.
Over the course of two jam-packed days, as customers shared their achievements with FourKites to-date, their priorities for the coming year, and their guidance for future enhancements to the FourKites platform, the power of the world’s largest shipper network was on full display. As CEO Matt Elenjickal told the audience: “Customer-driven innovation is core to FourKites’ philosophy and approach, so we encourage you to share your feedback anytime.”
