Freight visibility provider FourKites has introduced new tools to help shippers predict estimated times of arrival (ETAs) for ocean containers and to calculate anticipated detention and demurrage (D&D) charges.
The new ocean-based tools build on the company’s internal development of container tracking capabilities and its April acquisition of Haven (/technology/supply-chain-visibility/fourkites-deepens-global-execution-reach-haven- purchase_20210407.html), an international transportation management system (TMS) that specialized in documentation management.
